I was just cruising through a tract of beautiful Eichler homes the other day - the Balboa Highlands located in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. Built by developer Joseph Eichler between 1962-64, these striking homes were an attempt to bring Modernism to the masses. I grew up not too far from this tract, so over the years, I've been able to see the neighborhood come back and really be revitalized.
